Over the past few years Dalton Biotechnology has carried out various research projects and experimental studies, both in the dairy sector and in the wine sector; in this regard, an article has been published in the European Food Research and Technology magazine (Volume 246, n ° 5 May 2020) entitled “Characterization of natural Oenococcus oeni strains for Montepulciano d’Abruzzo organic wine production“. Dalton Biotecnologie has developed an autochthonous Oenococcus oeni starter culture of with fast malolactic activity and zero histamine production; the culture MALOBACT-T1 is supplied in fresh and frozen format.

In a particularly difficult period due to the Coronavirus emergency, DALTON BIOTECNOLOGIE adopted all the measures provided for by the Italian Prime Ministerial Decree of 09/03/2020 about containment measures and the epidemiological management of COVID-19. The company has promoted smart working, has increased the sanitation cycles of the workplace and has distributed the necessary PPE to all employees, always putting on top the health of the company’s human heritage . Despite the limitations on international travel, pre and post-sales assistance is guaranteed for all our customers.

Last weekend Dalton Biotecnologie was present at Foodtech 2019, a premium international Food & Beverage trade show focusing on the production, processing, packaging and handling technologies of Food & Beverages held in Athens (12-14 October). The fair was a great success among manufacturers, importers and suppliers of technology and processing products and services for the dairy market. Dalton released a new brochure for the Greek market. Dalton Biotecnologie is pleased to announce its presence as official sponsor of the MICROBIOss event (Microbial Biodiversity Scientific School), which will be held in Alghero in Sardinia from 8 to 11 May 2019.
In recent decades, the study of microbial biodiversity has become one of the key themes of scientific research, so much so that conservation and recourse to microbial biodiversity has become an action of fundamental importance to support, promote and implement sustainable development in agriculture and for a conscious management of natural ecosystems; in this context, MICROBIOss represents an opportunity to study the concept of “microbial biodiversity” in relation to the multiple functions it performs in the agro-ecosystem and, more generally, in the agri-food and environmental sectors.
